TAOISMO: LA ARMONÍA DE LA FUERZA INTERIOR NATURAL. Taoism: the harmony of the inner natural strenth

I hope the following videos will encourage you to know more about Taoism.

Taoism is usually explained by using expressions that mention natural energies, inner hidden powers, oriental techniques that impel cosmic strengths in individuals. Taoism shows a world full of life, adventures and possibilities for human beings.

In the next video we can watch a general explanation on Taoism, and some of its connections with Confucianism and Buddhism.

Here we have the chance to listen to a Taoist priest, the master Yun Xiang, who speaks about the purpose of life and the application of Taoism in three core Taoist values.

In the next short documentary film on Taoism and martial arts. Some scholars, top martial artists and monks explain the principles of the way, a treasure of wisdom that survived thousands of years. The film highlights the interconnectedness between the philosophy and the natural world and how its principles manifest in certain martial arts and meditative arts.

De hecho, podía ser un cuento budistaNow is time for a Taoist tale, in fact it might be a Buddhist tale!

Only some images, Can you see the hidden ghost?

I invite you to develop a critical way of studing that promotes democracy, tolerance, coherence, dignity, happiness, freedom, Human Rights and rejects all those ways of fanatism or hipocracy. WE SHOULD DEFEND EQUALITY BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN, WE NEED TO CLAIM FOR RESPECT AND RIGHTS OF SOCIAL MINORITIES, REJECT ALL KINDS OF FANATISMS AND TOTALITARISMS.

Hi Juan Antonio,

my favourite video is the last one because is a beautiful tale but i wont no know what is next...the man dies? Or maybe he can hide of the two tigers? I think that Taoism has many things in common with Budhism because both religions give more importance to the present.

Good night to everyone,
The videos, were so good; maybe a bit difficult to understanded, but I had learnt a lot with them.
-In the first video, I learnt the similarities and differents between Confucianism, Taoism and Buddism; also I learn the contrast between cold and hot in their symbol, which is their sacred book and their founder Lao-Tsu.
-In the second video, I learnt the important of knowing your self and others. Also I learnt that you feel like a victim of this life, if you don´t understand that the purpose of life is happiness. You need to feel you, meditate and communicate whith your spirit. You can have a lot of material things; but if you lost your family love, it doesn´t mean anything. You need to know that world is harmony;"I'm one in the world, and the world is one in me".
-In the third video, I learn that you have to understand your body before you want to understand the universe. A way to understand your body is tai-chi,
-In the last video, you can learn the important to live the moment.
-In the photos, I tried it, but I could not see the hidden ghost.

Hello :)
I've seen all the videos and I have learnt a lot about this Taoist religion and philosophy.
First of all I have to say that all the videos were amazing!
Well, the first video shows the relations of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism, which I think is very important to know their differences.
The second video explains us the main thinking of Taoism. I've learnt that the purpose of life in this religion is to be happy and to share our love, without shelfishness. We should enjoy our life, that's basically what Taoism is form by.
In the third video we can see a short trailer which talk about martial arts. We have to understand our body if we want to understand universe. That's one reason of why do they do tai-chi.
The last video is an ancient Chinese story in which we have to learn that we have to live the present, without thinking on the future and the past. And it also shows the meaning of 'doing athing not doing it'.
Finally, I've tried to see the ghost, but I can't!:S
Well, that's all.
See you ;)

Hi!,
I have seen all the videos and I think that the best is the third one because you learn a lot of things like:
-Dao is the law of yin and and yang.
An important and curious thing of this video is that they do kun-fu and I like it so much!. As well a sentence that catch my attention is:
-Kun-fu help you to appreciate the nature.
I love it because i think that that is very nice and help us to appreciate what surrounds us.
Also the first video is important because says a lot of things like:
Taoism began in the 6th century B.C, and it is a popular religion based on the philosophy totally of the universe. I learn that yin-yang is a important symbol that means Tao.
-Yin: means passive and cold
-Yang: means active and hot
They are like night and day, like life and death...

There 5 karma points:
-Water: perfect yin
-Fire: perfect yang
-Wood: ancient yang
-Metal: ancient yin
-Earth: this is the 4 elements together
The second video says that the purpose of life is to be happiness and enjoyment, and feel like a victim is bad because you have to be happy every day (because taoism is a very optimistic religion). As well the video says that knowing the self is enlightenment, is a very knowledge sentence.
The last video is nice and curious is a beautiful story that says that you don't have to dwell in the past, you don't have to dream in the future, you have to concentrate your self in the present.
I think that I find the ghost, but I'm not really secure, the yin-yang symbol can be it because it represents the totally forces.
And that is my opinion :),
Bye!

Hello Juan Antonio:
I have seen all of the videos that you put on your blog, and I think, for my opinion, the best is the story of the monk and the two tigers because it teachs us that we have to enjoy the present, because the past is the past and we can not change it, and the future we do not know how it is going to be.
Now I am going to intent to answer the question that you ask about the images:
I think you do not asked about a real ghost, I think you asked for energies and forces and I see it in all of them.
Thanks for all of these videos and images, because they help me to understand better this complex religion.
Good bye.

Hello,
I liked the last video because it is the most taught and with which I have learned better. It teaches that you have to live in the present and forget the past and not worry about the future, you have to concentrate on this because it is the best thing that can happen. The fruit represents the good things and these are the most important and the last thing you may live. In the second video I was impressed that they think they are victims of everything else, which now I think about it and I see that this may be true.

Hi,
I´ve already seen the videos and I think they are really useful becouse they explain us everything about Taoism in a enjoyable way and the most important thing is what we can learn just by seeing them.

There are two videos which have drawn my attention:
The first one, becouse it explains us many things about the Taoist most important symbol: the Yin Yang. It says that this elements are the principal manifestations of the Tao, a word which means "totally of the universe".
So, the Yin is the moon and the Yang, the sun.
All the changes are the result of these two dinamic forces: day and night, the seasons, life and death.
This two opposite forces are directly connected with the natural elements:
Fire, the perfect yang
Water,the perfect yin
Metal, the nacient yin
Wood, the nacient yang
Earth, which unites all the forces of the elements.
They represent the cardinal points and also the classification of the organs of the body.

And the last video is my favourite.
The idea of concentrating the ming on the present moment is directly connected with another important religion:Buddhism.

I like Taoism becouse I think it´s more than a religion, and we are a bit influenced by it, for example, many cristian people practice marcial arts, or Feng Shui, which are Taoist traditions that have become worldwide famous.

Bye! :D

Hi people!
After seeing all the videos I think that the one which reflect more about what taoism can teach is the last one.
However, despite was difficult to understand, in the third one I have learned that: the Dai is the law for the ying and the yang changing the universe.
In the first video I have learned a bit between the differnece Confucianism and Taoism.
To finish I have to say that I didn't find the ghost in the photos, but I think that isn't ghost in any photo, it's only a question to think about the life or something like that...
Good night!

Hi, I saw the videos and I think that the most simple, the video which is better for us to learn the essencial in Taoism is the story of the man and the two tigers, becaus the objective in life in Taoism is to be happy, and, for being happy, is necessary to enjoy the moment. It doesn´t care what happened in the past and it doesn not care what will happen in the future, just enjoy the moment.

Hello everyone!
I have watched the videos and analyzed that the first of them talks about the main differences between Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. The second is refered to the meaning of Taoism, and the third shows us the martial arts that taoists practice to mix our body with the universe and the last video is a beautiful fable about the past, present and future and the principal teaching of the video is to live the present at all. I will summarize what I have learnt about all the videos and express my opinion.
The main Taoist aim to reach the Tao is through understanding reality or nature. To do this it's neccesary to understand the balance of maintaining the harmony of things, man and woman, good and bad, etc.. , What the Taoists call the Yin and Yang. For this they practice disciplines such as art, music and T'ai Chi.
Definitely I find 5 basic principles of Taoist discipline:
- Respect for Nature (Tao).
- Non-violence.
- Serenity and harmony as rule.
- Inward and spiritual development of men.
- Existence with vitality and wholeness.
To finish I think all the people is a bit taoist because they are practices that every normal person should do.
I think that I've seen the ghost in the first picture between the two men in the bottom at the right part. I am sorry for being late sending the comentary because I have had problems with internet connection.
This is all Nievesnautas, bye!

Hello Juan Antonio!!
I saw the videos about Taoism. My favourite video is the third. It explains what is Tao and it describes a little of T'ai Chi.
Tao is the totally of the natural processes. It's a way not a thing that we can see or touch.
To understand the Tao,we have to understand our body. When we understand our body we can know what is the universe.
The most famous martial art of China is T'ai Chi.
people do T'ai Chi to understand their life and their self.

Hi,
I have decided why the present is more important than the past or the future,I think it is because your present depends on the actions that you do now(present)and the actions that you have done(past) now are not important, because you can't change them.

Hi Juan Antonio,
I have already decided why is more important the present that the future and the past. I think the past is not going to change and the futur depends on the action that you do now so depending of what you do now, in the present, all of the other things are going to change. Also I think anyone can tell you if you are going to live tomorrow(is a example) so you have to live the moment.

Hi, Juan Antonio.I have decided why the present is more importat than future or past. I think this because your life is the future and you need to do the decisions that you consider better in the present to have a better future and, like in other religions, if you think in past or future less than your present you will suffer because you don´t know if someone will kill you or you will win the lottery so if you live thinking that all the time you can´t live your present and your future will be worse. Bye and happy easter week.
publicado por Andrea Guzmán 2B, el 16.04.2014 15:31
Hi! In my opinion, present is such a important thing because it is the only one that exists. Past was present once, but seeing it from now, it is only a story to tell; it isn´t real, because we can´t change it.If we talk about future, we have to say that it is an ilusion, a dream, a wrong idea about what it is going to happen. We describe past and future regarding to present, because we aren´t able to perceiving them in another way. What I mean is that we can only feel present, so,is it necessary wasting time thinking about those past failures ? Do we have enough time to dream of future success, that we haven´t already achieved ? We have to concentrate on present, doing our best in everything, in the way that we improve our past attainments and we make sure living a future even better, so we discover the secret of happiness.

hi Juan Antonio. I have already decided why is more important the present that the future and the past because you can´t do nothing with action that happened in the past only know your mistake if you did and do not repeat again and the future are the consecuences of present so you have to look what you are doing in the moment .

Hi,
I have to say that I think living the present is very important, because:
-You are not enjoying the moment and then you're lamenting the past you and waiting for an unknown future that we don't know what it will bring.
-you have to live every day because it is what we have certain in our lifes
-Take the good things to enrich our experience to take advantage of the present that is sure to have
But I have to recognise that is very difficult to live the present,if we do it we will live better.

Hi , Juan Antonio !
Nowadays , peope is alway blaming other people about the mistakes of the past and thinking always in the future plans and intentions. In my opinion we are all forgetting how important is the present moment , because now is when we try to sort out the past problems and in a future other people would try to sort out of what now is the present mistakes . I think the humans are the ones who can change all, for example , scientists think that for sure in a future we would disappear and they are trying everything to avoid it , I think there isn't any solution so we had to live the present as if there was no tomorrow.

Hi Juan Antonio :
I think that the life and the presente we are living is so important, because the people only think in the wrong past, the things that they were doing bad, but they have to know that that, now,it isnt't important because the thing that we have done, they are done, so now we can't do anything. We have to live the present, we don't have to think about the pass, and also obout the future.

After watching all the videos i realized thay thee best one is the one that tells this short tale about the man runing from tigers.I think using tigers as a metaphore of past and future is wonderful, the past and the future can cause you great disasters .If you are always thinking about the future you wont get what you want and if you keep thinking about past things you wont be able to solve the problems you had.

Hello Juan Antonio. The truth is it's hard to face all of a sudden these four videos. But all come to be guided by the same sense in this religion ; running beautifully with the fable of the blackberry . In the first ( a bit boring ) we show the difference between Taoism , Buddhism and Confucianism. The contrast between hot and cold of their holy book whose founder was A0 - Isu .
In the second videose shows us the meaning of Taoism itself. Seeking happiness , harmony , family.
In the third we are told of martial arts practiced by Taoists to mix our body with the universe. We must understand and know to understand the universe .
and last but the simplest explicit on or throughout a fable which tells us that the past happened po . The future we can imagine many things but we will not know the end until it becomes present . And this , as we savor rich blackberry forgetting the past and the future without fear .
It really is the one that has made me think about the many things that connects us with very little, but as a Christian that I am capable of thinking and some research , I lean towards a more realistic thinking based on what happened in the past for this to be so and the consequences that actions done in this may have for the future, and I think the future we have to work

Hello Juan Antonio !!
You told us to say what video was the best to undersand taoism and I think it is the second one. I think it is because that man explains the essence of Taoism really well and he speaks clearly. He explains the aim of life, what love is, and he also explains why selfish is bad so I found it interesting. As well, I agree with it and I think these reflections can help us in every aspects of life.
On the other hand, I think that for people who doesn´t understand English or for people that has never heard about taoism, the simplest video is the last, because it explains the basic and fundamental idea on the easiest way for very young or very old people. If you are very good at English, maybe you would like to play the first video, but for teenagers like us, it´s really difficult to understand.
